Existence of Solitary Pressure Pulses in a Cylindrical Fluid-Filled Elastic Tube

The problem studied in this paper concerns solitary pressure pulses in a cylindrical fluid-filled elastic tube. By assuming the tube wall is a thin elastic membrane, the nonlinear hydrodynamic equations are coupled with the membrane conditions at the tube wall as a free surface and the existence of a solitary pressure pulse in the fluid-filled tube is proved
