On theC1Stability Conjecture for Flows

We give a proof of theC1stability conjecture of Palis and Smale for flows, which has reduced to proving thatC1structural stability implies Axiom A. The proof is based on the fundamental work of Liao and Mañé, and on the recent powerfulC1connecting lemma of Hayashi.
