Generalized Characteristic Analysis and Guckenheimer Structure

We develop a generalized characteristic analysis method. Using this method we study interactions of elementary waves and construct the Riemann solutions for two dimensional scalar conservation laws. Especially, we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition of appearance of Guckenheimer structure, which is something like Mach reflection in gas dynamics
