Abstract :
An adequate description of the propagation of near-infrared light in highly scattering media is important for imaging hidden luminescent inhomogeneities in tissues. We present an improved approach to modeling of the forward problem based on a telegraph equation. The asymptotic solutions of the telegraph equation are derived and analyzed.
