Hyperbolicity versus partial-hyperbolicity and the transversality-torsion phenomenon

In this paper, we describe a process to create hyperbolicity in the neighbourhood of a homoclinic orbit to a partially hyperbolic torus for three degrees of freedom Hamiltonian systems: the transversality-torsion phenomenon.
