Abstract :
On the basis of appropriate laboratory experiments, energy release and composition of explosion products were determined for the accident that occurred at the Production Association “Mayak” (Chelyabinsk-40, Russia) in 1957. Based on archive data, quantitative characteristics of the formed radioactive trace structure have been specified up to a distance of more than 100 km from the epicenter.
