Reproductive biology of the skinkScincus mitranus(Anderson, 1871) in the central region of Saudi Arabia

The reproductive cycle ofScincus mitranuswas examined using specimens obtained from the slopes of sand dunes around Riyadh. The reproductive season was in May and June. Young lizards were observed in late September, suggesting the presence of only one clutch during the reproductive season. Data on seasonal cycles in testes, ovaries and fat bodies are given.
