Modeling ammonia and hydrogen sulfide inhibition in anaerobic digestion

A physicochemical reaction system for pH level has been developed as a simulation model of anaerobic digestion. The model focuses on ammonia and hydrogen sulfide inhibition. Studies of cattle manure and acetate-sulfate system digestion were used for model calibration and validation. The threshold loading effects were demonstrated.
