MarChem 93: a workshop focused on concerns of the marine chemistry community

This review surveys the results of a workshop conducted in the summer of 1993. The purpose of the workshop was to assemble a group of university-based marine chemists, government scientists and funding personnel, and industrial suppliers. Thus, these elements of the marine science community were encouraged to interact to more clearly define the state and needs of the marine chemistry instrumentation field. The workshop was sponsored by the Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation.
