Abstract :
Potent collagenase inhibitors incorporating a novel indolactam macrocycle, which are accessible by the intramolecular alkylation of N-t-Boc-L-Trp-NH(CH2)6OTs under phase transfer conditions, show enhanced activity compared to their acyclic analogs.
