Abstract
A new structural class of squalene synthase (SQS) inhibitor, J-104,118, was developed by chemical modification of L-592,901. The absolute configuration of J-104,118 was determined by X-ray crystal analysis. An oral dose of J-104,118 potently inhibited cholesterol synthesis in mice.
