Evaluation Prevalence of Brucellosis in Horse Hamadan of Iran

ABSTRACT: In this study was Evaluation to determinate the seroprevalence rate of horses br ucel l osi s i n bet ween may 2011and December 2012 i n hamedan, I ran. ser um sampl es f rom 200 horses were anal ysed wi t h t he Rosebengal t est and t he t ube aggl ut i nat i on t est . Sera f r om one horse wer e f ound posi t i ve by r osebengal t est and t ube aggl ut i nat i on t est , and t her e f or e t he pr eval ence rat e was 0. 005% I n horses, t he hi ghest i ndi vi dual seropreval ance was i n an ani mal kept cl ose under the intensive system, without any animals. The zoonotic aspects of brucellosis in the horses must be considered because the disease is important for a public health stand point.
