Abstract :
ABSTRACT: To evaluate salt tolerance of two cultivars of seedless grapes Askari and Yaghuti, seedlings of these cultivars were tested With five salinity levels of 0, 25.50, 75, 100 mM Nacl. At the end of experiment, traits as stem length, number of leaf, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight, chlorophyll index, prolin, soluble sugars and leaf temperature were measured. The results of analysis of variance of two cultivars of grapes in sult condition showed that all measured traits at probablity level (p?0.5) except leaf temperature are significant. Two cultivars at all measured traits except leaf temperature and area showed significant difference at level p?0.5. stem length of both reduced with increasing in salt level. Maximum mount of stem length is related to cv. “Yaghuti” at control and minimum related to treatment 100 mM NaCl on cv. “Askari”. Maximum chlorophyll index is related to control treatment at Yaghuti cultivar and it’s minimum is related to treatment 100mM NaCl at Askari cultivar. In two cultivars, with increasing in amount of prolin and soluble sugars were increased. According to results maximum amount of prolin and soluble sugars is related to salt control treatment at cv. Askari.
