Conformational analysis of an anxiolytic agent: tandospirone in aqueous solution

The conformations of tandospirone (1a) and related compounds in aqueous solution have been studied by 1H NMR, IR experiments and MM calculations. The significant contribution to the folded conformer of tandospirone was found in aqueous solution.
