Simple one-pot synthesis of a 2′-tritium labeled C-deoxynucleoside

The deoxygenation and 2′-labeling of a C-ribonucleoside by reductive elimination with tri-n-butyltin hydride[3H] in a one-pot reaction is described. The approach is a safe, simple, efficient, and general method for 2′-labeling of nucleosides.
