Synthesis of immunoreagents for detection of deoxypyrrololine, a cross-link of bone collagen

Two immunogens (5,6) and two probes (fluorescent 7 and chemiluminescent 8) were prepared from benzyl ester (−)- 10. These immunoreagents ( Scheme 1 and Scheme 2) are useful for detection of collagen cross-link (+)-deoxypyrrololine (Dpl, 4), and for development of assays for osteoporosis.
