Abstract
The main role of the stock market as an essential component of capital market is to absorb and redirect scattered savings and liquidity toward productive investments. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of structure of assets on operating earnings of the companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. In this regard, using the data from 150 companies (30 companies in 5 industries) and panel data econometrics, we investigated this effect. The results showed that, the impact of changes in structure of assets (investments) on operating earnings (EBIT) is significantly different for various industries.
