Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of salinity on the growth and some morphological features of three cultivars of spring wheat (Tajan, Arg and Pishtaz), the experiment was done as factorial based on randomized complete block with four replicates in Agriculture Department of Islamic Azad University, Varamin- Pishva Branch in 2011. Salinity was at four levels (3.87, 5.95, 10.25 and 12.87 ds/m) which obtained from Gom wells. Number of leaves, stalk and root length, chlorophyll and proline content were measured. Analysis of variance showed that there was significant difference between salinity× cultivar in stalk and chlorophyll. Mean comparison of salinity× cultivar treatments indicated that following increasing of salinity, regardless of cultivar, number of leaves, stalk ad root length, and chlorophyll decreased and the leaf free proline increased.
