Abstract :
In order to the study effect of irrigation methods and weed control onyield and yield
component of two garlic cultivars, an Split-split plot Experiment was carried out in form of random block
Withinthree repetitions. The investigated factors were irrigation methods containing micro irrigation
(dripping) and surface irrigation as main factor, sub factor include manual weedcontrol and non-control
and there were two garlic cultivars as sub-sub factor. The traitswereevaluated cloves number,
clovesweight, cloves diameter, cloves length, bulb yield as economical yield and weight of dry weeds.
Irrigation was done in 75% field capacity. Results from Variance analysis revealed a significant
difference between main and interaction effects in all examined attributes.Mean comparisonsindicated
that the use of dripirrigation and weed control increased clovesnumber, clovesweightandbulb yield.Mean
comparisons of interaction effects alsoshowed that the highest economicalyield was registered in using
drip method with manual weed control in china cultivar. The results revealed that in places with limitation
of water, using of dripirrigation causes both decreasing weeds and increasing yield in garlic cultivars.
