  • Abstract
    This research was performed with the aim of investigating the mental health, and the familial and personal trauma of the students of AlborzPayam nour University. The statistical universe consists of all boy and girl students in different majors of the B.A. courses of the Payam nour university of Alborz province, who were studying in the first semester of 2011-2012. Hence, based on the Talkman’s sampling scale, and by employing the stratified random method, 500 people were included in the sampling volume. To collect data, several questionnaires such as the family process scale, the family content scale, 28-item questionnaire on the public health (GHQ) as well as the DASS questionnaire were used. The outline of the research was ex post facto. To investigate the hypotheses of the present research, methods of theunivariate and multivariate regression as well as Kendal’s tau-b correlation were applied. The findings of the research revealed that, depression, anxiety, stress and the mental health (P < 0/05) could be predicted through the family process and content. The findings also suggested, there is no meaningful relationship between the familial trauma and the family content and process and boy students (P < 0/542) and girl students (P < 0/599).
