Ramanujanʹs Theories of Elliptic Functions to Alternative Bases—a Symbolic Excursion

Recently Berndt, Bhargava and Garvan were able to prove all of Ramanujanʹs results in the notebooks on his theories of elliptic functions to alternative bases. In this paper we show how we used MAPLE to understand, prove and generalize some of Ramanujanʹs results.
