Abstract
ABSTRACT: wth of Arg cultivar under salinity stress, the experiment was conducted as factorial based on randomized complete block with four replicates in laboratory of Agronomy and plant breeding in agricultural department of Islamic Azad university, Varamin-Pishva Branch in 2012. The first factor was four levels of salinity (S1:3.78, S2:5.95,S3:10.25 andS4:12.87 ds/m) and the second factor was six levels of hormone H0: control,H1:GA3 (100mg/litr), H2:GA3 (150mg/litr),H3:GA3 (200mg/litr),H4: Putrescine (2.5m/mol), H5: Spermidine (5m/mol) and H6:GA3(100mg/litr) + Spermidine (5m/mol). coleoptile and cleorhiza length, cleorhiza number, coleoptile and cleorhiza dry weight, germination percent, tissue water content and number of damaged seeds were measured. Analysis of variance of coleoptile and cleorhiza length, cleorhiza number, coleoptile dry weight showed the significant difference among salinity and hormone treatments (P < 0.01), while it was not significant for the others properties. These results emphasized that application of different levels of gibberlin and poly amines had no positive effects on germination process of Arg cultivar, following salinity.
