Abstract :
Thyroid eye disease is a noninfectious, inflammatory disorder of the orbit mostly associated with hyperthyroidism. Thyroid eye disease affects women approximately 6 times more than men. The most common clinical sign is eyelid retraction. Compressive optic neuropathy and excessive proptosis can lead to vision loss. Restrictive myopathy can result in diplopia. Vision loss and diplopia should he referred to an ophthalmologist for further management. Herein, we present a representative case presentation of thyroid eye disease.
