Abstract
A 94-year-old man presented with episodes of transient ischemic attack. Echocardiography showed prominent trabeculations and deep intratrabecular recesses in the anterior and lateral left ventricular segments. Cine magnetic resonance imaging showed a double-layered appearance on the 4-chamber view and marked trabeculations and intratrabecular recesses in the infero-lateral segments on the short axis view. These findings were consistent with those of isolated noncompaction of the ventricular myocardium (INVM). This is the oldest patient with INVM ever reported previously.
