On the braid groups for RP2

The subject of this paper is the topological and homological properties of braid groups for the real projective plane RP2. Let Br(S,k) denote the braid group on a surface S with k strands. A K(Br(RP2,k);1) is constructed. The rational and mod p cohomologies of Br(RP2,k) are calculated. Moreover, the unordered configuration space of RP2 is interpreted as a space of polynomials.
