Abstract :
We characterize complete infinitary extensive categories image having a cartesian closed exact completion. As an application, we show that the exact completion of the category of topological spaces is cartesian closed. It contributes to the study of equilogical spaces proposed by Scott (A new category? Domains, spaces and Equivalence Relations, preprint, 1996).
