The hyperpower iteration revisited Original Research Article

The hyperpower method is generalized by inseting an idempotent matrix P. It is shown that most of the iterations that can be used for computing generalized inverses can be recast in this form by suitable choice of the idempotent, the limit, or the initial values. The convergence behavior of Bqk is analyzed and the results are applied to give a detailed investigation of this iteration.
