Factorizations of a matrix into symmetric matrices with prescribed nullities Original Research Article

Necessary and sufficient conditions are presented for a square matrix over an arbitrary field to be a product of k > 2 symmetric matrices with prescribed nullities. A generalization of the case k = 2 to Hermitian matrices is also presented.
