Linear preservers of immanants on symmetric matrices Original Research Article

Let image be an arbitrary subfield of the complex numbers, and let Hn(image) be the space of the n × n symmetric matrices with entries in image. We describe the linear operators of Hn(image) that preserve an immanant dχ, where χ is an irreducible nonlinear character of Sn.
