Geometrical conditions for the reachability and realizability of positive periodic discrete systems Original Research Article

Reachability and realizability of discrete-time linear systems, in which the state variable and the input are constrained to lie in the positive orthant imagen+, are studied. More precisely, a characterization of positive reachability is given in terms of certain geometrical conditions on the reachability cones. Further, it is shown that the existence of certain polyhedral cones is equivalent to positive periodic realizations. The connection between the above two kinds of cones is established.
