Preserving diagonalisability Original Research Article

We characterise the set of all linear mappings on the algebra of all n × n matrices that preserve diagonalisable matrices. Our result is an extension of the famous Motzkin-Tausskyʹs result on the simultaneous diagonalisability of a linear space of diagonalisable matrices.
