The determinant of random power series matrices over finite fields Original Research Article

We consider matrices whose entries are power series over a finite field. The coefficients of the power series are chosen independently and uniformly over the elements of the finite field. We are interested in the probability distribution of the coefficients of the determinants of such matrices.
