Numerical ranges, Poncelet curves, invariant measures Original Research Article

A class of closed algebraic curves (circuits) is considered. These circuits have the property of Poncelet quadrics. The circuits are generated by matrices which admit unitary bordering. The link between spectral properties of the matrices and geometrical properties of the circuits is studied.
