Colorings and equality of tensors Original Research Article

We study necessary conditions for equality of two nonzero star products of vectors in symmetry classes of tensors associated to irreducible characters of the symmetric group of degree m. These conditions depend upon the notion of μ-coloring of a family of vectors, introduced in [Linear and Multilinear Algebra 27 (1990) 25].
