On the fixed points of the interval function [f]([x])=[A][x]+[b] Original Research Article

For the interval function image defined by [f]([x])=[A][x]+[b],[A] irreducible with ρ([A])greater-or-equal, slanted1, we derive necessary and sufficient criteria for the existence and uniqueness of fixed points [x]*. In addition, we show how [x]* can be represented by means of the input data [A] and [b].
