Abstract :
ABSTRACT: In order to evaluation the effects of arbuscularmycorrhizalfungi(Glomusintraradices) and vermicompost fertilizer on yield and nutrient uptake in organic cultivation of garden thyme an experiment in randomized complete blocks design with 3 replications was performed in 2012. Treatments were included the mycorrhizalinoculums (Glomusintraradices) 5 and 10 ton ha-1 of vermicompost, mycorrhizal fungi+5 ton ha-1 of vermicompost, mycorrizal fungi+10 ton ha-1 of vermicompost and control treatment. Results showed that the highest dry yield of thyme were obtaine with combination of mycorrhiza and vermicompost compared to control treatment. There was positive and synergistic interaction between Glomusintraradicesinoculums andvermicompost treatments on Zn uptake in thyme leaves. In vermicompost treatments, Mn and N concentration in leaves of thyme was higher than other treatments. Generally, combination of mycorryhiza and vermicompost improved the biomass and nutritional assimilation of thyme plants.
