Abstract :
An analytical approach is proposed to predict time dependent stationary creep behavior of fibrous composites based on compatibility and equilibrium equations subjected to an applied tensile axial load. Novel insight of this work is to determine some important behaviors of crept matrix in the fibrous composite without utilizing some intricate theories. In this model, prediction of behaviors is simpler than the prior analytical approaches. Principal, shear and equivalent creep strain rate values are very significant for designing the fibrous composites in the crept reinforced materials. Analysis of the mentioned parameter behaviors in the reinforced materials is employed to analyze failure, fracture and fatigue studies in 2nd stage creep of short fiber composites. As an outcome, non-linear ascending and descending behaviors are also observed in the principal, shear and equivalent creep strain rate behaviors and curves in the stationary creep of the short fiber composite. Finally, excellent compatibilities are found between the obtained analytical and numerical results.
