Abstract :
Chassis is one of the most important parts of the light and heavy vehicles that not only protects the different parts of automobiles, but also has a determining role in vehicle stability. The aim of this study is to assess the static and dynamic characteristic of Hyundai Cruz minibus. ABAQUS was used for the modeling and the simulation of the problem. In the static analysis, the effects of applied loads on the chassis caused by the weight of both vehicle and passengers and in the dynamic examination, the effects of forces such as accelerating power, braking and uneven road were considered. The results are presented for the deformations and stresses distribution of the chassis due to static and dynamic loads.
