Abstract
The purpose of the current study is to determine the influencing factors on job satisfaction of agriculture extension experts in Mazandaran province, Iran. This is a descriptive-correlative research that studies a sample population consist of 127 extension experts which have been selected using stratified random sampling method. Validity of the questionnaire has been confirmed by a panel of experts consisted of senior faculty members of agriculture extension and education department and research Committee advisors. Preliminary testing and validation of the instrument has been realized as 15 agriculture extension experts from an out-of-sample city completed questionnaires; the Cronbach Alpha Formula, which depicts reliability of the analysis, also has been calculated as 0.84. The results show that the level of job satisfaction among 64.2% of experts was high, while it is considered average for the rest of the population (35.8%). The results from coefficient of correlation also indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between Herzberg?s motivation-hygiene theory and level of job satisfaction of extension experts. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis also represents that hygiene-management factors could predict 17% of variations of job satisfaction.
