Abstract :
Determining the apparent characteristics of honey bees in modifying the races and determining the races and populations is useful and some times due to the correlation between apparent characteristics with productive and behavioral ones, we can use it in modifying the productive characteristics and behavioral ones from the apparent characteristics, so the first step in modifying the races of these bees is morphological studies. For this reason, sampling was done in the cities of Kordestan as Sanandaj, Saghez and Baneh. By considering the results and analysis of main elements, it has been determined that the length of the hind legs of Saghez bees is greater and their color is yellow. However, the bees of Sanandaj and Baneh are darker than Saghez; additionally Baneh bees have less cubital index, and less fore wing length and width. The characteristic of fore wing length, snout length, body length and hind leg, all have a positive and a meaningful correlation (in the level of 99%) except the length of hind leg of bee with its length which is meaningful (in the level of 95%). The color of third sternit index with scuttelum and angle of G18 (of wing) with A4 and D7 (of wings) has a positive and significant correlation (in the level of 99%). By considering the results and stability of honey bees in the western part of Iran in the previous studies, it is possible to program on modifying the races of bees, especial honey bees, of western provinces of our country and also use the correlation of apparent characteristics in the plans of modifying the above mentioned race.
