Abstract :
The seaweeds which belong to the groups of plants known as Algae, may to a layman seem rather unpleasant organisms, very slimy to touch, and unpleasant to look at. But in reality some of these plants are among the most beautiful in the world especially Red Algae. Compared with the vast amount of work that has been done on the structure and physiology of higher plants, our knowledge of the seaweeds is less. Through this article, an attempt has been made to reveal some interesting facts about seaweeds.
