Abstract :
Alterations of proteolytic and phosphatase activities in the soil resulting from the impact of easily soluble mineral salts contained in the tailings of the potash plant have been studied. The obtained results attest to the fact that hydrolytic enzymes (protease and phosphatase) are very sensitive to the increase in salt concen-tration in the soil. An inactivation of enzymes in the soil located 50 m from the source of pollution depends on both the salinization rate and the salt concentration.
