Abstract :
A new supramolecular compound formulated [Cu(DPC)(H2O)3] (H2DPC ¼ Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) was synthesized under mild
conditions and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectrum, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The
crystal crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group of C2=c with a ¼ 6.4448(9) A ° , b ¼ 23.192(3) A ° , c ¼ 6.9139(12) A ° , a ¼ 908;
b ¼ 106:622ð11Þ8; g ¼ 908; V ¼ 990.2(3) A ° 3, Z ¼ 4; R ¼ 0:0580; and wR2 ¼ 0:1522: The compound exhibits an interesting threedimensional
(3D) supramolecular framework structure with one-dimensional channels, which is constructed by extensive hydrogen-bonding
and p–p stacking interactions.
