Abstract :
The 16th IFIP/IEEE International Workshop on Distributed Systems: Operations
and Management, DSOM 2005, took place on October 24–26 in Barcelona, Spain.
For the first time, DSOM was co-located with several related events as part of the
first International Week on Management of Networks and Services, MANWEEK
2005. In terms of the number of attendees, DSOM did quite well with 80 registered
participants. The technical program included eight technical sessions with a total
of 23 full papers (selected from 87 submissions), a panel session, a keynote, and
an invited talk. Overviews of a sampling of some of the more provocative papers
from the technical program sessions are described in this paper along with brief
summaries of key points made in other sessions.
