Abstract :
A new 3D cadmium molybdenum phosphate [C3H12N2]4[CdMo12O24(HPO4)6(PO4)2(OH)6][(Cd(H2O))2]·3H2O 1 has been hydrothermally
synthesized and characterized by IR and XPS spectra, TG analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound 1
crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P 1; a ¼ 12:0249ð11Þ A ° , b ¼ 12:1873ð11Þ A ° , c ¼ 14:8685ð16Þ A ° , a ¼ 67:916ð3Þ8; b ¼
74:121ð6Þ8; g ¼ 63:581ð3Þ8; V ¼ 1793:4ð3Þ A ° 3, Z ¼ 1: The basic building blocks {Mo6P4} are linked by Cd(1)2þ ions into a dimer and the
dimers are connected by Cd(2)2þ ions to form a 3D open framework with protonated 1,2-diaminopropane and water molecules filled in the
tunnels of the framework. Furthermore, the electrochemical property of this hydrothermally synthesized compound was studied via
the method of bulk-modified carbon paste electrodes.
