Abstract :
Islamic culture that was based on Koran, traditions and innocent family of the Prophet
Mohammad (Greeting upon him), is the holies and most stable global culture and it is still
alive and vivid after 14 centuries, and not only it has absorbed the best elements of
ancient cultures, such as the Iranian culture, but it also made it sublimed and exalted. It
also benefitted from the presence of well-educated Iranian people, in the fields of science
and tactfulness. One of the important fields regarding the presence of Iranian scientists
in the Islamic civilization was concerned with the translation movements; a movement
that took place during the second to 4th centuries A.H. (8th-10th centuries AD), in the
framework of extensive translations of the works by different civilizations of the world to
Arabic language. It has been tried in this research to express and compare the roles of
Barmakids and Al-Sahl dynasties, the active people in the political fields, Al-Bokhtishou,
Nobakhtian and Bani Mousa bin Shaker among the scientific authorities in Abbasid
imperial court, and according to the conditions they were in it, in transferring and
developing science, and also express and state the cases like the performance of each
of these dynasties in developing the translation movement, and determining the services
provided by these families for the Islamic culture.
