Optimal control of constrained piecewise affine system using particle swarm optimization

This paper applies a combined computational technique for optimal control of.. Unlike existing techniques that are based on a specific algebraic structure of the problem, the algorithms presented here are based on evolutionary computing. The approach proposed in this paper is complementary to the extant model predictive control techniques, and its solution is used in particle swarm optimization algorithm to reduce the computational complexity of the solution. Two problems are being addressed: one computes the solution of optimal control problem of constrained piecewise affine systems, and the other is reduce the number of polyhedral regions of the control law using particle swarm optimization. The considered algorithm is applied to a valid physical system and result is presented to illustrate our algorithm advantages.
