A CORRELATION STUDY OF COLLEGE STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN TAMIL AND THEIR SELF CONCEPT

The present study is an attempt to study college students achievement in Tamil in relation to their Self-concept, simple random sampling technique is used in the selection of sample. In the present investigation a sample of 1000 college students from Salem District were selected. The investigator applied a scale on self concept inventory constructed and validated investigation self constructed tools used in the study Apart from the achievement test in his constructed, standardized by the researcher other tools were also used for this study. Self-concept inventories standardized by Dr. Rajkuamr Saraswat (1984), Result showed that there is a (Positive and significant correlation on between) achievement in Tamil and Self Concept keywords: Self concept and achievement.
