Abstract :
Let Λ={λn}∞n=1 be a sequence of real numbers. Given M>0, under the hypothesis 0⩽λ1<λ2<… and λn+1−λn⩾Mn, n=1, 2, 3, ..., the present paper obtains the rational Müntz approximation rate in Lp[0, 1] spaceRn(f, Λ)Lp[0, 1]⩽CMω(f, n−1)Lp[0, 1]for 1⩽p<∞, where CM is a positive constant only depending upon M.
