Uniqueness of periodic best L1-approximations Original Research Article

In this paper we give a characterization of the finite-dimensional subspaces of periodic, real-valued and continuous functions which admit uniqueness of best L1-approximations. Our investigations are based on the well-known Property A which characterizes a finite-dimensional subspace of continuous functions to be a unicity subspace with respect to a class of weighted L1-norms.
